Matthew pointed me towards a good article on the emerging church by D.A. Carson. He does a good job describing a movement that is not easy to define.

I have read his stuff before he is pretty much anti-emerging church from what I have read and heard but I will have to check it out.

Yea i think he does a good job presenting the many complicated and different sides of what is really going on with this movement. As he says, even the experts disagree on what postmodernism really is, and trying to form a movement associated with that is more than a little difficult.
