This is a hard blog to read, M...for what it asks of each of us. For the darkness we would have to put words to, the shame that would be de-robed, and the mounting fear that we are the lies that have hidden themselves in the shadows of our hearts.
And to really listen to my story, you are called to deeply participate in your own.
In the space, the community, that that story comes out, there is indeed something of the divine felt and deeply longed for. And that longing, even, feels like hope...
it is hard, but never should be too hard. what if simply the way we told the story was counter to the story itself. meaning, stories of our past filled with pressure, performance, violation, coercion be told with softness, kindness, grace.
what if we told the story at our own pace, stopping when we wanted. what if there was no need for pressure to tells the stories of pressure. what if you knew there would be no violation as you tell the stories of violation.
what if it was our desire leading in our telling of how our desire was snatched?
